Taubman Scientists
Where Scientists Create Cures
The Taubman Institute seeks to create programs that will allow medical scientists to conduct innovative research, which traditional funding sources are increasingly unwilling to support. It encourages “high risk, high reward” research, which can produce transformative advances in our understanding of the processes and treatment of human disease.
The emphasis is on translational research, which accelerates the transition from basic science to new treatments for patients suffering from disease.
The Institute also seeks to establish a culture of collaboration, where scientists work together to share ideas, exchange information and move the frontiers of medical discovery relentlessly forward.
